New publication on climate change in the NW Pacific

The paper “What Changes in the Carbonate System, Oxygen, and Temperature Portend for the Northeastern Pacific Ocean: A Physiological Perspective”, co-authored by project scientist Steven Litvin and supported by the National Science Foundation Ocean Acidification Program was recently published in the journal Bioscience. This paper examines how the effects of changing carbonate chemistry, oxygen and temperature on physiology may drive changes in the behavior, biogeography, and ecosystem structure in coastal marine ecosystems, with a emphasis on the California Current Large Marine Ecosystem.
